Description

In demanding industrial applications involving repeated flexing, vibration, tensile loading, and mechanical movement, standard unreinforced rubber sheets may gradually stretch, deform, or tear. While rubber provides excellent elasticity and sealing performance, its relatively high elongation can limit dimensional stability when the material is exposed to continuous mechanical stress.

Our Nylon Reinforced Rubber Sheets combine the flexibility and sealing performance of high-quality elastomers with the strength, flexibility, and fatigue resistance of woven nylon fabric. Through advanced continuous calendering, fabric impregnation, and high-pressure vulcanization processes, the nylon reinforcement is securely integrated into the rubber matrix to create a durable and flexible composite material.

This reinforced structure helps maintain the essential elasticity of rubber while significantly improving tensile strength, tear resistance, dimensional stability, and resistance to repeated flexing. Compared with more rigid reinforcement materials, nylon provides an excellent balance between mechanical reinforcement and flexibility, making it particularly suitable for dynamic sealing and industrial applications.

Multi-Layer Nylon Fabric Reinforcement

Our continuous calendering line integrates high-strength woven nylon fabric between carefully controlled layers of rubber compound.

The nylon fabric acts as the internal reinforcement skeleton, while the rubber layers provide flexibility, resilience, sealing capability, and environmental resistance. Under controlled temperature and roller pressure, the uncured rubber compound is forced into the fabric structure to achieve thorough impregnation and intimate contact between the rubber and nylon fibers.

The reinforcement can be configured with different fabric constructions and layer arrangements according to the required tensile strength, flexibility, thickness, and application conditions.

Strong Rubber-to-Fabric Bonding

A reliable reinforced rubber sheet depends not only on the strength of the fabric itself, but also on the quality of the bond between the rubber and reinforcement.

During our calendering and vulcanization process, the rubber compound penetrates into the nylon fabric structure and forms a firmly integrated composite after curing. Careful control of compound viscosity, calendering pressure, temperature, and vulcanization conditions helps minimize air pockets, incomplete impregnation, and interlayer separation.

The resulting composite structure allows the nylon fabric to effectively distribute tensile and shear stresses throughout the sheet while the rubber matrix maintains flexibility and sealing contact.

Dual Surface Finish Options

Our Nylon Reinforced Rubber Sheets are available with two surface finishes: smooth finish and fabric-textured finish, allowing the sheet to be selected according to different sealing, bonding, handling, and processing requirements.

The smooth finish provides a flat and uniform surface, making it suitable for gaskets, flange seals, and applications requiring consistent contact with mating surfaces.

The fabric-textured finish retains the characteristic texture of the reinforcing fabric and provides a distinctive woven surface pattern. This option can be suitable for applications where surface grip, handling characteristics, or specific bonding requirements are important.

Both surface finishes are manufactured with controlled thickness, uniform rubber coverage, and consistent fabric-to-rubber bonding throughout the sheet.

Versatile Elastomer Formulations

Nylon fabric reinforcement can be combined with different rubber compounds to provide the required balance of chemical resistance, temperature resistance, oil resistance, weathering performance, and mechanical durability.

  • NBR + Nylon
    NBR (Nitrile Rubber) + Nylon is an excellent combination for applications requiring oil and fuel resistance together with enhanced mechanical strength and flexibility.
    It is widely suitable for oil-resistant gaskets, hydraulic equipment, fuel systems, machinery seals, flexible connections, and industrial fluid-handling applications.
  • EPDM + Nylon
    EPDM + Nylon combines excellent resistance to ozone, UV radiation, weathering, water, and steam with improved mechanical reinforcement.
    It is suitable for outdoor sealing systems, expansion joints, water and steam applications, industrial gaskets, and flexible connectors.
  • CR (Neoprene) + Nylon
    CR + Nylon provides a useful combination of weather resistance, mechanical strength, flexibility, and abrasion resistance.
    This formulation is suitable for industrial gaskets, flexible joints, mechanical components, protective pads, and applications exposed to vibration and outdoor environments.
