Meridian offers many different high quality rubber V rings, Y rings, Union Seals, Swivel Seals and other Seals for all types of environments and sealing applications. The materials include, but are not limited to, NBR, HNBR/HSN, Viton/FKM, AFLAS.
V ring as the name implies, it is a sealing ring with a V-shaped cross section.
The all rubber V ring seals are axial shaft seals, to prevent dirt, moisture, and other unwanted material from entering an oil seal, housing, or any other desired area while simultaneously keeping lubricants in, normally made of nitrile rubber.
For applications where higher temperatures occur or where aggressive media are present, V rings made of Viton rubber should be used. The V rings is an all-rubber seal that is mounted directly on the shaft by hand and seals against a counter face. The V-Ring works well on its own and excels when combined with rotary shaft seals to help extend the life of bearings, oil seals, and shafts.
X rings have a sealing function doubling that of an o ring, and can be used in numerous static and dynamic sealing applications. Compared to a standard o ring, the four-lobed X Ring profile maintains twice the sealing surface. The double-seal action requires less squeeze to maintain an effective seal function.
O rings, V rings, Y rings Swivel Seals Swivel seals are designed for slow rotary applications, such as the hydraulic swivels, which allow the transmission of pressurized services between the chassis and body of mobile hydraulic equipment. For sealing dynamic, rotary motion moving fluid or air under pressure between a stationary base and a rotating structure requires a hydraulic swivel or rotary manifold. These pressure swivels eliminate or reduce costly high–pressure hose assemblies and fit in a small footprint.
Hammer union seals are used in the connections between flexible hoses or pipes used in the oil drilling industry. The seal provides a critical fluid tight connection within the union hardware. Hammer unions consist of a thread end, a nut end, and a hammer nut that when tightened seal the assembly with the assistance of an elastomeric seal.
Union Seals could carry Backup Rings with Brass, Stainless Steel, PTFE, PEEK and etc.
