O-ring cord, also called cord stock, is a continuous length of elastomeric material with a uniform round cross-section. It can be cut to a specific length and the ends joined by bonding or vulcanization to create a custom-sized O-ring.
This solution is ideal when standard molded O-rings are unavailable due to non-standard sizing, supply delays, or when on-site fabrication is necessary.

Limitation:
The joint is a potential weak point compared to a seamless molded O-ring. For high-pressure, dynamic, or critical applications, a pre-molded O-ring is recommended.
